The central purpose of Good Shepherd Preschool is to support the families of our congregation through a loving and caring Christian ministry.  We provide full day care enrichment for children ages 2 1/2 to 6, with appropriate play and learning experiences through flexible but consistent routines in a comfortable atmosphere for the children.  This contributes to the social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual needs of each child.  Using the experience of our licensed and highly trained staff, we wish to establish a setting where children of various religious and ethnic backgrounds can work and grow together in a loving setting influenced by the mind and spirit of Christ.  We're open Monday - Friday, 7:30 - 5:30 p.m., with half or full day programs.

Yearly Family Events:
September Parent Night
This is a great time for parents to see what their children will be doing and learning all year. We have a wonderful slide show that shows us a day in the life of Good Shepherd Preschool.

October Holloween Concert with the Goleta Valley Junior High School Band
This fun and festive day includes the GVJHS performance and the children parading around in their costumes.

December Birthday Party for Jesus
Families come together for a non-stressful time of singing, hearing the Christmas Story, and eating Christmas cookies.

February Dad's Night
Dads come to school with their child and make Valentines for their loved ones. It is the cutest thing to see the school full of the dads with the children being crative.

May Mother's Day Brunch
Moms love the time to sit in the relaxing atmosphere of the Fireside Room, away from their busy day to enjoy some 'fun' food with their child.

May Work Day
Preschool and church families join together to keep the preschool in tip-top shape.

June Family BBQ
We honor our graduates. We spend this exciting time looking ahead to new adventures and saying our sad good-byes.

We also participate in several joint activities with church members such as BBQs, the Easter Egg Hunt, Craft Nights, Game Nights, and Potlucks.
